Faculty of Nursing and Health Science (FKSK)
The Faculty of Nursing and Health Sciences began offering the nursing Diploma study program in 1995 which operated in the Graha Patriotika building, Tanjung Kling, Malacca and in late 2005, the university management moved the faculty of nurses and health sciences to the Main Campus in Kuala River New to ensure all courses of study were centralized at the Main campus. In 2018, the faculty began offering a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and Honours program. The curriculum offered is recognised by the Malaysian Qualification Agency (MQA) and the Professional Body of the Malaysia Nurses Board.
The Islamic University of Malacca (UNIMEL), formerly known as the College of Islamic Universities of Malaca (KUIM), has produce more than 2,000 graduates of the Diploma and Bachelor of Science in Nursing that serve at home and abroad countries such as the Middle East, Brunei, Singapore, United Kingdom, United States of America and other countries.
The Faculty of Nursing and Health Sciences has a line of professors and clinical nurses with experience in their respective nursing specialties as well as providing comprehensive and conducive learning facilities to enhance the effectiveness of teaching and learning. Teaching and learning is not only conducted in the theoretical classrooms but also practically where students will be exposed to the clinical atmosphere in the hospitals and public and private clinics around the state of Melaka and Negeri Sembilan that have cooperation with UNIMEL among them are the Putra Specialist Hospital Melaka, Mahkota Medical Centre, Melaka, Malaka Hospital, Jasin Hospital, Alor Gajah Hospital, Port Dickson Hospital and Rembau Hospital, Negeri Sembilan.
