The Faculty of Hospitality Management was established January 1997 and officially operated on 17th Mei 1997 with its first batch of 54 students taking Diploma in Hospitality Management. Upon elevation to university college status, faculty starts offering Bachelor of Hospitality Management (Honours). This faculty currently have 10 associate Hotels in Malaysia in which they helping KUIM in enhancing hands on skills training for our students. Since the faculty establishment the hotel industry in Malaysia has helped a lot in making sure our graduates fulfilled the industry requirement. Undergraduates from this faculty also involved in students exchange program with JBS International College in Singapore. The faculty now is in progress developing Halal Food Management curriculum to be offered to the food services industry. Faculty also focusing in culinary arts, members from this faculty contributed as a panelist in Festival Siak Bermadah (Food Festival) 2013 in Siak, Indonesia.

Faculty of Law, Governance and International Relations (FUG) was officially established on 06.01.2016 and offers a Diploma in Syariah (formerly known as the Diploma in Law and Sharia). Before the FUG, Sharia Diploma Program has been offered to the public by the Faculty of Islamic Studies Academy (API) since 2004. The establishment is coinciding with a passion FUG KUIM to offer different fields of study that are relevant and appropriate to the current needs. It is hoped that this faculty will continue to grow in order to provide programs of academic quality and relevant to national needs while meeting the aspirations KUIM to produce students who are competent, superior personal qualities, integrity and professionalism.

        The Faculty of Business Innovation and Accountancy was established in 1994 in Kuala Sungai Baru. The faculty provides programs based on management and business. The pioneering programs of this faculty were the Diploma in Marketing and the Diploma in Accountancy, and later on, the program of Diploma in Business in Information Technology and the Diploma in Finance. Three new programs are offered such as Bachelor of Business Administration (Entrepreneurship), Bachelor of Business Administration (Finance) and Diploma in Innovation Management. All diploma programs take a period of three years to complete and bachelor programs take a period of four years to complete. The faculty also provides complete facilities for the teaching and learning process like air-conditioned classrooms and teaching aids. There are 8 seminar rooms and 5 lecture halls. Subjects offered are in accordance to current demand and ultimately prepare the students for current job market. Graduates from this faculty have successfully obtained employment in the private and government sectors.
