The crescent and star signify the Islamic faith upheld by UNIMEL and reflect elements of the Melaka State emblem as featured on the state flag.

The brown keris figures on the left and right represent the Taming Sari Keris, symbolising dynamism and courage among UNIMEL students.

The Islamic geometric form beneath the logo features seven points, representing the Seven Principles of UNIMEL.

The white “V” shape at the centre of the logo symbolises the Qur’an and knowledge, which serves as the pillars of UNIMEL in nurturing a society that is knowledgeable, intellectual, and guided by Islamic principles.

The blue colour represents one of the colours of the Melaka State flag and symbolises unity within the UNIMEL community.

Magenta is the official colour of UNIMEL.
